Two countries. One company. Since 2007.
HYDCO Engineering is 100% Australian-owned, run day-to-day by its Indian managing director, with a growing workforce of more than a hundred people in Gujarat.
Started on exploration rigs. Grew into everything around them.
HYDCO was established in Gujarat in 2007 — the same year as XDR in Queensland — to manufacture exploration drill rigs for the mineral and coal industries. Demand pulled the company into oil & gas, and the group developed its own brand of workover and flush-by rigs, exported to the Gulf and Australia.
Building complete rigs forced the company to get good at everything a rig contains: heavy structures, hydraulics, controls, electrical systems and the software that ties them together. That breadth is now available to contract customers directly.
How the group fits together.
